UTORID Multi-Factor Authentication

An Extra Layer to Protecting your UofT Account

University of Toronto’s Multifactor Authentication (UTORMFA) adds an extra layer of security to your login by verifying your identity. Initiliazing multi-factor authentication for your UTORID will prevent anyone from accessing your account regardless if they have your password.

How It Works

​When you attempt to login with your UTORID, a push notification is sent to your phone by the DUO app. It activates only when logging in from off-campus locations.
